The performance test methods of carbon fiber cloth mainly include the following:

1. Tensile test
Tensile test is one of the important methods to evaluate the mechanical properties of carbon fiber cloth. By fixing a certain length of carbon fiber cloth at both ends, a tensile test is performed to observe its bearing force to determine whether its strength meets the standard.

2. Bending test
Bending test is a method to test the flexibility and strength of carbon fiber cloth. Fix a certain length of carbon fiber cloth at both ends and perform a bending test to observe whether there is any breakage or deformation.

3. Ultrasonic detection
Use ultrasonic technology to detect weak points and defects in carbon fiber cloth to confirm its quality and reliability.

4. Appearance inspection
Through appearance inspection, visual inspection of carbon fiber cloth is performed to confirm whether its surface is flat, smooth and flawless.

5. Conductivity test
By testing the conductivity of carbon fiber cloth, it is confirmed whether its conductivity meets the standard requirements.

6. Heat resistance test
By subjecting carbon fiber cloth to high temperature treatment, its tolerance and performance stability at high temperature are tested.

7. Fire resistance test
By testing the reaction performance of carbon fiber cloth in fire conditions, it is confirmed whether its fire resistance meets the standard requirements.

8. Industrial CT detection
The industrial CT detection method uses CT to find the situation on the prepreg, and it is more common on some three-phase woven prepregs, because in the case of three-dimensional weaving, it is necessary to check whether the internal fibers are broken.

9. Laser holographic detection
Laser holographic detection is to add a certain pressure to the carbon fiber cloth through laser, and then use instruments to detect the internal stress. If the internal stress distribution is uneven, different stress performances will be detected, thereby judging the performance of the prepreg.

10. Sound wave detection
Sound wave detection is to detect by ultrasonic wave, and analyze the defects of prepreg by the reflection of ultrasonic wave. The commonly used methods are pulse reflection method and resonance method for detection.

11. Radiation detection
Radiation detection is to determine the condition of carbon fiber prepreg by the permeability and strength of the radiation after the radiation is irradiated to the surface of the prepreg.

12. Radiation testing
Radiation testing is to check whether there are bad areas in the prepreg under stress. If there are defects, sound signals will be generated, which can determine whether the composite material has defects.

These test methods can help ensure the quality and performance of carbon fiber cloth to meet the needs of various applications.
