Flame retardant fibers with inherent flame retardant properties
Including aromatic polyamide, aromatic heterocyclic polyamide, polybenzimidazole (PBI), polyparaphenylene bisoxazole (PBO), polyamide.imide, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyamide Aromatic high-temperature flame-retardant fibers such as sulfone amide (PSA); thermosetting three-dimensional cross-linked fibers such as melamine fibers and phenolic fibers; acrylic fibers modified by copolymerization, and flame-retardant viscose modified by blending flame retardants Fiber, flame retardant vinylon, flame retardant polyester, flame retardant nylon, etc. Among them, synthetic fibers modified by blending flame retardants such as flame retardant polyester, flame retardant nylon, and flame retardant polypropylene have the problem of melt droplets, so their applications are limited. However, flame retardant viscose, flame retardant vinylon and acrylic polyvinyl chloride do not have the problem of dripping. The disadvantage of acrylic vinyl is that its strength is low and it emits more smoke when it is burned.
The international mainstream flame retardant products have the following two classic combinations:
(1) Kermel fiber using dope dyeing technology and flame retardant viscose blended in a 50/50 blending ratio is the main fabric of high temperature resistant flame retardant protective clothing for European military police and firefighters;
(2) Aramid 1313, represented by Nomex, is either pure spun or blended with flame retardant cotton fiber (65/35), which is the main flame retardant fabric for the military of the United States and Japan. PBI was developed by NASA in the United States and is mostly used as a heat-resistant and fire-resistant material for aerospace airtight chambers. Because of its high moisture regain, it has gradually developed into a flame retardant material for firefighting suits, high temperature work clothes and flight suits. The flame retardant performance of PBO is particularly good, and the strength is nearly 2 times that of aramid 1414, the LOI is 68, and almost no smoke is generated after heating. Aramid sulfone fiber is one of the flame retardant fibers researched, developed and applied in my country. Its heat resistance, flame retardant, non-melting, electrical insulation and corrosion resistance can reach or be close to Nomex fiber. , flame retardant protective clothing and other aspects have been popularized and applied.
