Kevlar Aramid Fiber Flame Retardant Bullet Proof Cut Resistant Fabric

Workplaces that combine heat with sharp edges are hard to protect. Treated flame retardant cotton loses its protection as it is washed and worn, and it will not stop a blade; heavy leather holds heat in and becomes unbearable on a hot line. Aramid fiber flame retardant cut resistant fabric removes that trade-off. Flame resistance is built into the fiber itself, cut resistance is reinforced with glass fiber, and the fabric stays flexible enough to work in - so the same garment covers the burn risk and the cut risk instead of forcing a choice between them.

Para-aramid fiber - the Kevlar®-type family of high-strength fibers - is inherently flame resistant: the property is part of the polymer structure, not a chemical finish applied to the surface, so it does not diminish with washing or wear. Aramid fiber characteristically chars and self-extinguishes rather than melting, which is the failure mode that makes many synthetic textiles dangerous near heat and sparks. To that base we deliberately add glass fiber, a material that performs strongly in cut resistance, which raises the cut performance of the finished fabric. The sleeves are then made by seamless weaving: a continuous tubular construction with no side seam, so there is no stitched line to fail first or to chafe against the arm. The thumb hole is not decoration - it anchors the sleeve, holding it at a fixed position on the forearm and preventing it from riding up and opening the gap between glove and sleeve. The material does not contain carcinogenic or toxic substances, and the flexibility of the construction lets workers grab small parts and handle equipment without taking the protection off.
